The 2008 Montgomery County Action Council Legislative Golf Tournament was attended by 74 golfers.  The field included Kansas Senators Derek Schmidt, Dwayne Umbarger and John Vratil and Kansas Representatives Mike Burgess, Rocky Fund,  Doug Gatewood, Jeff King, Mike O'Neal, Virgil Peck and Ron Worley. 

The tournament is an annual event that enjoys the support of the members of the Montgomery County Action Council.  It is an opportunity to meet with legislative leaders and exchange ideas and concerns along with a round of golf.  It also provides company representatives a venue to visit with legislators away from Topeka.  Above all, the tournament showcases a beautiful Montgomery County golf course each year in August.

MCAC appreciates all of the efforts of the tournament committee, volunteers and company representatives who support the event.  Volunteers transport food and beverages to the golfers during the tournament.  Sponsoring companies provide staff who man tables at tee boxes and serve as community ambassadors.  The 2009 MCAC Legislative Golf Tournament will be held at Coffeyville Country Club Thursday, August 27th.
