The 2007 Montgomery County Action Council Legislative Golf Tournament was attended by 94 golfers.  The field included United States Congressman Todd Tiahrt, Kansas Senator Derek Schmidt and Kansas Representatives Mike Burgess, Tom Burroughs, Donald Dahl, Stan Frownfelter, Rocky Fund, Doug Gatewood, Jeff King and Virgil Peck.  Highlighted in the gallery above are 14 of the 24 participating teams, 2 of 10 tee box sponsors and other photos including the winning teams.  

The tournament is an annual event that enjoys the support of the members of the Montgomery County Action Council.  It is an opportunity to meet with legislative leaders and exchange ideas and concerns along with a round of golf.  It also provides lobbyists a venue to visit with legislators away from Topeka.  Above all, the tournament showcases a beautiful Montgomery County golf course each year in August.

MCAC appreciates all of the efforts of the tournament committee, volunteers and company representatives who support the event.  Volunteers transport food and beverages to the golfers during the tournament.  Sponsoring companies provide staff who man tables at tee boxes giving away various items such as hats, cold towels and snacks.  Watch for information about the 2008 MCAC Legislative Golf Tournament.
