Montgomery County Action Council is designated as the official economic development partner of the Montgomery County Commissioners. The three County Commissioners are also voting members of the MCAC Board of Directors. MCAC works with the Commission to establish and facilitate coordination with community
governments on topics of mutual concern. MCAC and the Commissioners join efforts to carry out the mission of the Montgomery County Action Council:
Montgomery County Action Council has an active membership. It is governed by an 8 member Executive Committee and a 25 member Board of Directors, a total of 33 voting members. This group consists of people who are elected to represent the four incorporated cities of Montgomery County: Caney, Cherryvale, Coffeyville and Independence. Board of
Directors meetings are held the 4th Thursday of each month except August and December and are open to the public. The
