SHELTER IN PLACE ORDERS

With the health, safety and economic well-being of Kansas residents as her priority, Governor Kelly established a statewide “stay home” order on Saturday, March 28. The order will remain in place until May 3, 2020. Kansans are directed to stay in their residences unless performing an essential activity. Activities are essential if the purpose of the activity is one of the following:

  • Obtaining food, medicine or other household necessities
  • Performing work at a business or organization to perform an essential functional as identified in the Kansas Essential Function Framework
  • Seeking medical care
  • Caring for children, family members, pets or vulnerable persons in other locations
  • Engaging in outdoor activities, provided individuals maintain a distance of six feet from each other and abide by the 10-person limitation on gathering size
  • Gathering privately with families
