Independence has a strong industrial base, with targeted industries of Aerospace and Sheet Metal Fabrication. With companies like Cessna Aviation, Kansas Aviation, Aviation Controls, VT Hackney, Matcor, and several other nationally known companies, its no wonder that business is growing in Independence.
