The Website Will Help Bring Businesses and Individuals to the Region

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, KS – The Montgomery County Action Council (MCAC) is excited to debut its newly designed website, https://www.actioncouncil.com/, created in partnership with Golden Shovel Agency. The redesign brings a clean, modern look to MCAC’s online presence and offers improved navigation to users.

“It’s incredibly user-friendly, whether someone is visiting the pages for the first time or returning to explore new opportunities, the interactive tools, updated content structure, and dynamic homepage modules really help us highlight our region’s strengths,” says Melissa Johnson, Executive Director of MCAC.

The primary goal of the redesign was to create a platform that reflects Montgomery County's energy, opportunity, and momentum. MCAC needed a site that was easy to update, mobile-friendly, and designed with both site selectors and entrepreneurs in mind. MCAC wanted to convey professionalism while being accessible to our community members and partners.

“One of economic development's biggest challenges is marrying the private and public sector,” says Johnson. “The new website is a hub for all our marketing efforts. It provides a polished, professional first impression that complements our outreach, advertising, and social media. Plus, it gives us greater flexibility to launch campaigns, promote success stories, and drive targeted traffic to key initiatives.”

This website will be especially useful for site selectors and business leaders considering expanding their operations to Montgomery County. They will learn about the region's strengths and discover why it is a prime destination for investment and growth. “There is something for everybody in Montgomery County!” adds Johnson.

MCAC worked closely with Golden Shovel Agency on the redesign project. This is part of a continued partnership with the full-service economic development communications firm to support MCAC's content, SEO, social media, and digital presence. Golden Shovel Agency will continue to offer online support to further meet the needs of MCAC’s digital businesses attraction efforts.
“Golden Shovel was an excellent partner throughout the process,” says Johnson. “They listened closely to our goals, provided smart guidance, and delivered a product that really reflects our vision. The team was responsive, creative, and easy to work with from start to finish.”

Johnson emphasizes that the website is more than just a digital presence. It’s a living, evolving platform that will grow alongside the community. It is designed not just to inform, but to inspire action, investment, and connection.
