Food Vendors and Sponsors Are Wanted for Taste of Montgomery County

June 3, 2025

Local restaurants, catering companies, and food vendors are invited to participate in Taste of Montgomery County on September 18, 2025. This fundraising event for Montgomery County Action Council (MCAC) is expected to attract more than 200 people, creating opportunities for food vendors to reach new customers that will grow their business. Attendees will travel from across the Southeast Kansas area and from neighboring states to attend, making it a can't-miss event for our local food vendors.

“Residents from across Montgomery County and neighboring communities are looking forward to this event where they’ll enjoy sampling new restaurants and food vendors,” says Melissa Johnson, Executive Director of MCAC. “This is a fun opportunity for us to give back to the community while promoting businesses in the region.”

MCAC is looking for both food vendors and sponsors to participate in Taste of Montgomery County. Learn how you can get involved and how your contribution supports the future of the region as a whole.

Food Vendors are Asked to Provide 150 Food Samples

Participation in Taste of Montgomery County is easy. Food vendors are asked to bring 150 samples of their culinary wares. These samples don’t have to be big and can showcase some of your best menu items. In similar events across the country, attendees have enjoyed delicious mouthfuls of pasta, crispy appetizer bites, and small cups of ice cream.

This is a fun opportunity to introduce your food to potential customers. All it takes is one bite to make people curious about your food, so they stop in to your restaurant or visit your food truck.

MCAC will create a festive environment that encourages attendees to linger. There will be drinks, games, live music, and raffles with exciting prizes for the best dishes.

There Are Multiple Sponsorship Levels

'If you don’t have a food business but want to support MCAC, you can get involved as a sponsor. There are several sponsorship levels that can accommodate different budgets. The starter level is $250 and includes two free tickets and group recognition on the MCAC Facebook page. The highest level is $1,500 and includes six free tickets, a commemorative gift, a personal banner at the event, mentions on social media and other marketing channels, and your logo on all promotional materials. There are multiple sponsorship levels in between.

If you cannot provide a financial contribution at any of these levels but still want to get involved, contact MCAC! We’re happy to discuss other in-kind donation opportunities and event needs. We appreciate anyone who wants to support MCAC and see Montgomery County thrive.

MCAC Uses This Fundraiser to Grow the County

Taste of Montgomery County is more than a fun event for our community; it is also an invaluable fundraiser that will support the region's economic development efforts. Money raised during this event will go toward Love, Montgomery County, a program that encourages people to choose this region and fill vacant job openings. MCAC offers relocation incentives, down payment assistance, and retention incentive matches to bring new people to Montgomery County.

“In April alone, we paid $35,500 to the workers of Montgomery County through our talent recruitment and retention programs,” says Johnson. “We want to ensure we’re building on our current foundation so we can continue our talent recruitment efforts long-term.”

Your investment in Taste of Montgomery County will bring new customers and employees through your doors!
